Howard A. Posey

Howard A. Posey, age 83, of Albany, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 26, 2007 in an Abilene, Texas hospital.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Don Clevenger officiating.  Burial will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the care and direction of Godfrey - Neese Funeral Home of Albany.  Mr. Posey was born on January 5, 1924 in Haskell County, Texas.  He marred Nancy Smith on December 11, 1982 in Santee, California.  He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.  He was a graduate of Albany High School and attended Ranger Jr. College.  He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict.  He was a high School Custodian in California.  Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Posey of Albany, Texas; one daughter, Janice Allene Campbell and husband, Lonnie of Monahans, Texas; two sisters, Lucille Brown of Lubbock, Texas and Mildred Spurgin of Albany, Texas; one cousin, Charles Straughan; three nieces and two nephews.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Faith Posey; one brother, Clayton Posey; his parents, Walter and Lena Posey; and a cousin, Bennie Vick.
