Thelma Mae (Sally) (Lee) Tissaw The Verde Independent, Verde Valley, Arizona April 8, 2007
"Sally" Thelma Tissaw, 91, of Cornville, died Wednesday, April 4, 2007. She was born Sept. 11, 1915, in Huntington Beach, Calif., to Robert Edwin Lee and Nora M. Perrine. Professionally, Sally worked as a LPN at Indio Caceda Hospital as well as at the White Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Sally is preceded in death by her husband, David Nathan Tissaw. She leaves behind her sons, Allen (Sharon) Sawyer of California, and Dennis (Vicki) Davis of Idaho; her daughters, Gaye Tissaw Frank, and Jennifer Tissaw, both of Cornville; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 5-7 p.m., followed by the funeral service on Tuesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. All services will be held at Westcott Funeral Home. Tissaw, as a licensed practical nurse and member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, was preceded in death by her husband, David Nathin Tissaw. She is survived by sons Allen [Sharon] Sawyer and Dennis [Vicki] Davis; daughters Gaye Frank and Jennifer Tissaw; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
