Edward A. Brent

BRENT, Edward A. Age 92. Passed away on March 23, 2008 at Vanderbilt Medical Center.  Served in World War II, 28th Infantry Div. commanded by Gen. Omar Bradley, volunteered as a mechanic and honorably discharged August 12, 1944.  He was also a farmer most of his life.  Preceded in death by wife, Eva Brent; father and mother, Van and Viola Brent; brother, James Brent; sister, Wilhelmina Dyer.  Survived by sisters, Frances Burnett of Hermitage, TN, Adelaide Freeman of Madison, TN, Melrose Johnson of Antioch, TN, Ruth Freeman (Hugh) of Old Hickory, TN and Ocye Harden (Eric), Montevallo, AL; brothers, Van Brent (Rachel) of Nashville, TN, Arlis Brent of Antioch, TN and William Brent (Peggy) of Culleoka, TN.  Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Phillip Saindon, 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall.  Burial immediately following at Woodlawn Memorial Park.  Nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers.  Honorary Pallbearers: Homer McCord, Milton Ingram, John Morgan, Billie Harden, Otis Charlton, Steve Harden.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service at WOODLAWN-ROESCH-PATTON FUNERAL HOME, 660 Thompson Lane, (615) 383-4754; A Dignity Memorial Provider.
