He worked as a pharmacist, primarily with the Whitten Pharmacy, until he retired in 1996. Don was a faithful member of Southside Church of Christ, where his love for the Lord called him to teach Bible class, serve as an elder, and compassionately work in the pantry ministry. Don loved to travel, whether to Germany or within the U.S., especially Albuquerque, N.M. Most of his trips were to Austin to see his Longhorns play. Don was a man of integrity, always gracious and kind, and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He is loved by all and will be dearly missed.
