Ronald "Ronnie Or Ron" Lewis Howell, 61
of Oklahoma

Ronald Lewis Howell (Ronnie to his family, Ron to his friends), born 11-11-46, in Walnut Ridge, AR, grew up in Chickasha, OK, moved to Bethany in 1961 and lived the remainder of his life in the Bethany area.  Predeceased by his parents, H.R. and Willie Mae Howell.  He is survived by his daughter, Holly Ann Howell; his siblings, ,Jeanette Norris, Austin, TX, James Howell and wife, Heidi, OKC, Margaret Harkey and her companion, Glenn Miller, Edmond, OK, Linda Morris and her companion, Mike Smart, Yukon, OK; his best friend who was like a brother, Harold Smith; 10 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. Ronnie died Monday, August 25, 2008 at OU Medical Center of renal and lung cancer.  Our family wishes to thank Ronnie's medical team: Dr. Rhett Jackson, Dr. Gupta, Dr. Doan, Victor Pham, and very special thanks to Jason Deck; also his wonderful staff of nurses: Angela, Amber, John, Joyce, Niki, Cheryl, Jackie and all the other health care providers who helped to make his last 3 weeks as comfortable as possible.  Services will be Thurs., August 28, 2:00pm, at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
