Obituaries Larocca, Rocca Apr 8, 2008, Age: 76 Rocco Anthony "Rocky" LaRocca Rocco Anthony "Rocky" LaRocca, age 76, of Mt. Juliet died April 8, 2008. Rocky was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Mt. Juliet Lodge #642, F&AM and the American Legion. Rocky was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 22 years of service. He was also a retiree of AVCO and West Wilson Utility District. Rocky was proud of his Sicilian-American heritage. He was the son of the late Gaetano and Giovanna LaRosa LaRocca. Rocky is together again with his wife of 50 years, Norma Gray Hackney LaRocca "Chunk" who preceded him in death on March 3, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Anthony LaRocca, Michael LaRocca, Tommy LaRocca, Peter LaRocca, Geralma LaRocca and Geraldine Carlson. He is survived by his son, Mark A. LaRocca of Tampa, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Jennie Lynn and Jeff Rawls of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Tyler A. Rawls, Nikki Rawls, Dylan Thomas LaRocca and Audrey Jade LaRocca; brother, Dante LaRocca of Ambler, Pa.; sister, Jennie McCloskey of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters-in-law, Ola Mai Hackney, Gladys Hackney, Allie B. Hackney, Donna Rhea Hackney, Mary (George) Goodall and Glenna (Mac) McKinney; brother-in-law, Marvin Hackney; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 14544 Lebanon Road, Old Hickory, TN with the Rev. Steve Wolf officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Tyler Rawls, Dylan LaRocca, Brad Henley, Mike Goodall, Tim McKinney, Billy Francis and Bobby Francis. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hackney, William McCloskey Jr., Anthony LaRocca and Rocky s buddies at West Wilson Utility District. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today and end with a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. at Bond Memorial Chapel, N. Mt. Juliet Road and Weston Drive, Mt. Juliet, TN. 615-773-2663.
