Anna D. Starkweather Lewis Funeral Homes
Anna Starkweather was born on September 5, 1929, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Ida Brier. Anna worked 20 years as a nursing aide in several nursing homes, including Hershey Convalescent, Belleview, Lutheran Homes and Lippengoose. She also provided housecleaning services. Anna loved yard sales and going to the Jessica Faye Closet. She enjoyed sitting outside on her stairs visiting with family, friends and neighbors. She also loved her cats and animals and going to Pearl City Outreach to spend time with many of her friends and family. She loved Elvis, Dale Earnhart Sr., Steven Segal, NCSI, Law and Order and Michael Jordan of the Chicago Bulls. Anna will be deeply missed by her sons, Jeff and Robert Starkweather of Muscatine; 1 grandson, Casey Bell and his wife Jeanette of Wilton; 1 brother, Ralph Starkweather and his wife Betty of Muscatine; 2 nieces, Donna Egger and her husband and Beverly, all of Muscatine and 2 nephews, Jerry and Randy Essex, both of Muscatine; 2 cousins, Edmond Kautz and Maynard Kautz and his wife Naomi, all of Muscatine; and special grandchildren, Sosha Mulnix, Taylor Jean Mulnix and Xander Knapp. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters and 1 son.
