Nelda Ruth Hodges Willingham Posted: Friday, September 26, 2008 12:00 am ARLINGTON - Funeral services for Nelda Ruth Hodges Willingham, 76, of Arlington, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the New York Avenue Church of Christ, Arlington, with Bill Keele officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin. Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home of Goldthwaite is in charge of arrangements. She died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Arlington Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 21, 1931, in Mullin, to Benjamin Archie Hodges and Gladys (Burkett) Hodges. She was married to Charles Willingham, Nov. 17, 1951, in Goldthwaite. They moved to Arlington in 1998. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Charles Willingham, of Arlington; a son, Charles Nicholas Willingham and Rita Jane, of Kennedale; two daughters, Cindy Moore Jefferies and Richard of Edward, Okla., and Lisa Willingham Tuttle, of Rowlett; a brother, Joe Charles Hodges, of Abilene; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Gladys Hodges, and a sister Helen Mayr. Published in Star-Telegram on September 27, 2008 |
