Funeral services for Berylene Beck, age 79, of Brownwood, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2009, in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Oakview Cemetery in Mullin.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday evening.

Mrs. Beck died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 in an Abilene hospital.

Mrs. Beck was born on Jan. 12, 1930 in Blanket to Thomas and MaeDelle (Burkett) Goodwin.  She was married to Don E. Beck on Feb. 21, 1948, in Brownwood.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 2002, seven years to the day that she passed away.  Berylene worked as a bookkeeper for Ross Company and at the Glamour Shop. She was a longtime member of the 4th & Stewart Church of Christ.

Berylene is survived by her five sons, Terry Beck and wife Amber of Burleson; Danny Beck and wife Kay of Brownwood; Chris Beck and wife Nancy of Ardmore, Okla.; Pat Beck of Belton; and Steve Beck and wife Diane of Brownwood; two sisters, LaJuana Ivy of Kingsville and Della Geeslin of Goldthwaite; 11 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
