Delilah Charlene Huggins Jewell
Charlene Jewell Services for Mrs. Jewell will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, at Hermitage Funeral Home with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating. Interment will be in Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 11, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Jewell, 89, of Goodlettsville, died Sunday, March 8, 2009. She was a graduate from Watertown High School, where she played basketball and was in the Drama Club. Mrs. Jewell was a member of Inglewood Baptist Church for 61 years and was in retail sales at Harvey Department Store for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Jewell. Survivors include: sons, Charles D. (Joyce) Jewell and David B. Jewell; brother, Joe D. Huggins; grandson, Barry D. Jewell; five great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; cousin, Robert Blankenship and sisters-in-law, Almagene Huggins Graves and Evelyn Huggins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
