John Bryan May, 91

John Bryan May, 91, Bardstown, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Flaget Memorial Hospital.  He was a Baptist by faith, a native of Davis County, formerly resided in Louisville, and was a retired self-employed concrete contractor.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Mae Spencer May; two daughters, Pam Sayre, Bardstown, and Patricia Clifford, Monticello, Ind.; two sons, Larry Phillips, LaGrange, and Jack May, Birmingham, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of the Greenwell-Houghlin Northside Funeral Home, 627 N. Third St., with burial in Bardstown Cemetery.  The Rev. Brad Woods, pastor of Wickland Baptist Church, Bardstown, will officiate.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
