Robert Thomas Perryman Northwest Florida Daily News, Jan. 7 to Jan. 8, 2009
Robert Thomas Perryman ("Bob") passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on Jan. 1, 2009, at Sacred Heart Emerald Coast Hospital in Destin, Fla. A native of Montgomery, Ala., he attended Auburn University School of Engineering. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, including 21 months active duty. In 1990, he retired from the State of Alabama Department of Revenue with 36 years of service. He spent most of his life in Montgomery until moving to Destin in 1999. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George Ira Perryman Sr. and Elizabeth Moffett Perryman; his brother, George I. Perryman Jr.; and brother-in-law, Henry Graham Sellers Jr. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Thomson Perryman; his daughter, Amy Perryman Oswalt and her husband, Greg; granddaughters, Caroline Elizabeth Oswalt and Emily Stewart Oswalt, all of Destin; and his sister, Elizabeth Perryman Sellers of Gulf Breeze, Fla. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at Destin United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Destin United Methodist Church Life Center Building Fund.
