Obituary

Dean Sullivan, 44, died Monday, November 9, 2009.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 12th at Pioneer Drive Baptist Church, with burial following in Elmwood Memorial Park.  Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.

Dean was a lifelong resident of Abilene and a 1983 graduate of Cooper High School.  He was the owner/operator of Sullivan's Powder Coating.  Dean married Nancy Day March 31, 2007.  He loved attending Brayden and Riley's athletic events.  He had a passion for building and restoring cars and trucks, which began at age 13 when he purchased his 1958 Ford pickup.  Dean had a great love for all of his many friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Sullivan and his brother, David Sullivan.  He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sullivan of Tuscola; son, Brayden Sullivan of Albany; two step-sons, Riley Day of Tuscola and Austin Day and wife, Jessica of Camp Pendleton, CA, ; his father, Chuck Sullivan of Kerrville; his father and mother-in-law, Larry and Mary Lou Strohm of Quinlin, TX; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
