Kirk Theodore Zellner

Kirk Zellner was born in Huntington Park, Calif., on Dec. 23, 1959.  His life tragically ended August 18 in a traffic accident.  He grew up and went to school in Huntington Beach, Calif.  In his early 20s he worked on a ranch in Daddle, N.M.  He journeyed to Albuquerque where he met his bride to be, Dina.  Kirk and Dina made their home in Silverton, Colo., for several years and were blessed with two wonderful children.  They loved Silverton and the people who became their friends.

Kirk, being a carpenter by trade, brought his family to Pagosa Springs where he built his home at Alpine Lakes Ranch.  Later he would move to his current residence on the Blanco River.  He was involved in building many of the homes in Pagosa.

Kirk is survived by his wife, Dina, who currently owns and operates the OoLaLa Salon in Pagosa; his two children, Coleman and Belle; his parents Frank and Elaine Zellner, of Pagosa; his brother, Rohn, of Riverside, Calif.; his sister, Stacy, of La Mesa, Calif., and his youngest brother, Kregg, of Pagosa.

Kirk was a hunter and loved the great outdoors.  He loved working cattle and he always looked forward to hunting season.  He helped many friends find their game.  He was a rifle and bow hunter and had a special of skill at calling elk

He was dearly loved by his family and friends.  He will be missed.

The family would like to thank the community and friends for their love and support.

Some of his friends have established a fund at Wells Fargo Pagosa Springs identified as “Zellner,” should anyone like to make a donation to the family.
