Namon Eugene Bradley, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on April 18, 2010 after suffering a long time from Lou Gehrig's Disease, but he isn't suffering any longer.

He was born on May 19, 1945.  He was a resident of Powell, formerly of Rogersville.  He was saved at an early age and was a member of Maple Hill Baptist Church, but attended Fishers Creek Baptist Church the last few years.  He worked as a miner for years in California, Virginia, Tennessee and other states.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert and Alvildia (Bill) Bradley; brothers, Jacob, Esau, and C.H. Bradley; sisters, Gertie Rogers and Cora Angel; father and mother-in-law, David and Vivian Horton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Diane Horton Bradley of the home; two sons, Namon Eugene Bradley, Jr. and wife, Tami, and Dewayne Bradley and companion, Mary all of Powell; 5 grandchildren, Logan and Amanda Bradley, D.J. and Brigitte Bradley, and Kendell Daniels; brother, N.J. Bradley and wife, Dorothy of Rogersville; sisters, Florence Henegar, Joyce Lowe, Hazel Ward and husband, Kyle of Rogersville, and Mary Faye Hodge of Virginia; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  The family would like to thank the Nursing staff of UT Medical Center Hospice for their care of Namon.

The family will receive friends any time at Namon' sister Florence Henegar's home and from Noon - 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Colboch-Price Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Chuck Lowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Dean Cemetery.

Colboch-Price Funeral Home in Rogersville is serving the Bradley family.
