Funeral for John Edwin Christian Sr., 64, of Rhome was June 18 at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas.  The Rev. Leo Morgan officiated.

Christian died Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in Rhome.  Born Oct. 3, 1945, in McKinney to Lewis Olan and Francis Jimeson Christian, he was self-employed and served two years in the U.S. Army.  He is survived by sons, Jason Christian and wife, Krista, of Haslet and John. E. Christian Jr. and wife, Angela, of Rhome; daughter, Jennifer "Sissy" Christian of Hurst; seven grandchildren; brother, David Christian of Pennsylvania; and sister, Mary Ann Christian of Weatherford.
