PEGGY M. PERKINS

 PERKINS, PEGGY M. age 82, of Minor, AL, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2010.  Mrs. Perkins was a member of Westmont Baptist Church for 48 years.  She also taught Sunday School and was a member of the choir.  She was retired from Bottenfield Jr. High School where she was a teacher and mother to many students.  She was active with the Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts.  She was preceded in death by her son, Harry Glenn Perkins.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Amos A. Perkins; her son, Ronny (Kathy) Perkins; her five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Carol Freeman and a host of extender family members.  Funeral services will be held at Valhalla Funeral Home Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Valhalla Cemetery.  Bro. Curtis Sanford and Bro. C. B. Scott officiating.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
