George Stephen BRISSIE

 

BRISSIE, George Stephen Age 65 of Nashville, TN.  Passed away March 3, 2011.   He was born in Woodruff, South Carolina to the late Samuel Carlton and Allene Mills.  He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jane Stone Brissie; sons, Mark and Peter Brissie; brother, Robert (Nancy) Brissie.  George was a teacher at Two Rivers Middle School where he taught German.  He was a fun, loving, dedicated teacher who cared deeply for his family.  He was known as a great-debater and a teacher who toured Germany with his students and fellow teachers.  George was a Full Bright Scholar, nominated Teacher of the Year 2002 at Two Rivers Middle School and member of the Donelson Hermitage Rotary Club. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Spring Hill.  Interment will follow services in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.  Memorial gifts may be made to the charity of your choice.  Arrangements by SPRING HILL FUNERAL HOME & CEMETERY, 5110 Gallatin Road at Briley Parkway, Nashville, TN, (615) 865-1101 www.springhillfh.com
