Mary Watson DeBerry, 80

Mary Watson DeBerry, 80, of McMinnville died Wednesday June 15, at Alive Hospice in Nashville.

She was born in Muncie, Ind., on Aug. 19, 1930, and was a former employee of Carrier Corp. and former co-owner of Darrell's Super Market, and member of First Church of God.

Mrs. DeBerry was preceded in death by parents Charles Lewis and John Ann Patterson Watson, first husband Ed Lee Jones, second husband, Homer Lee DeBerry, grandson, Robert Wayne Allen, an infant, and sisters, Irene Blanche Wokiwita, Virginia Ruth Jones, and Thelma Robinson Jones.

Survivors include children, Patty and Sidney Allen, Brenda Jones Merner, all of Smyrna, Linda and Ray Brymer Jr., of McMinnville, Darrell DeBerry, Houston, Texas, and Lisa and Russell George, Goodlettsville; eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service and interment is 2 p.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory.  The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from noon until 1:45 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
