Kenneth N. Felty Chronicle-Tribune, March 21, 2011
Kenneth Neil Felty, 64, died at 8:11 a.m. Thursday at home. He was born Dec. 6, 1946, in Marion to Dewey and Nellie (Mudd) Felty. He was a graduate of Mississinewa High School and Ivy Tech. Kenneth worked at Atlantic Painting and Decorating Inc. from 1986 to 1992. He also worked two years for the U.S. Postal Service in Florida and 13 years at Foster-Forbes as a machine operator. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Greenacres City, Fla. Kenneth was a Chicago Cubs and Indianapolis Colts fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother, Nellie Felty, Gas City; daughter, Monica Sue Kellett, Chattanooga, Tenn.; son, Brian Felty, Brandon, Fla.; daughter, Michelle Owens, Fairmount; son, Nick (Darnell) Felty, Noblesville; and son, Brandon (Mary Jo) Gosser, Marion; sister, Beverly Sue (Joe) Huffman, Marion; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Felty; two brothers, Leonard Lee Felty and Charles Glen Felty; and a son-in-law, Mike Owen. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Gas City. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, 428 S. Washington St., Marion, IN 46953.
