Terrance L. "Terry" Jeffries
Jan. 29, 1967 - June 1, 2011

Terrance L. "Terry" Jeffries, 44, Linden, Tenn., formerly of Fairmont, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, Tenn, from injuries he received in an automobile accident on Saturday.  Terry was born on Jan. 29, 1967, in Albuquerque, N.M., the son of Paul and Eula (Smithley) Jefferies, Fairmont, who survive.

He enjoyed four wheeling, RC cars, watching NASCAR (his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhart, Sr. and Dale, Jr.), cooking out, boating, swimming, camping, fishing and hunting.  He was also an Indianapolis Colts fan and enjoyed building and flying model airplanes.  He was quick with computers, loved rock and roll music and spending time with his family.

He was a graduate of Madison-Grant High School Class of 1986, where he was involved in many activities including Campus Life.  He attended Ivy Tech College in Marion, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Terry was an electrician by trade and most recently was working for Shiloh General Maintenance in Dixon, Tenn.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Amara and Jennifer Jeffries, Fairmont and Elaina Jeffries, Marion; son, David Jeffries, Fairmont; two sisters, Denise (Jay) Brummett and Tamara (Danny) Wallace, both of Linden, Tenn.; and special friends, Teresa Harshman Point Isabell and Julianna Jeffries, Marion.

He was preceded in death by a son Brady; sisters, Paula Ann Jeffries and Susan Morris; grandparents, Anna and Omar Stinnett, Jack Smithley, John and Estie Jeffries; father-in-law, Thomas Gambrel; aunt, Elaine Williams; and cousin, Mike Owens

Funeral services will 1 p.m. Saturday at Ames-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmont, with Pastor Rob Clark officiating.  Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, Marion, with military honors.
