June 22, 1929 - June 25, 2011

   Loretta Patterson, 82, of Huntsville passed away peacefully Saturday at Huntsville Hospital after a long bout with COPD.

   She was a lifelong native of Huntsville and the daughter of the late Jack and Ara Chisholm of Dallas Village.

   Mrs. Patterson graduated from Rison School and spent her entire life in northeast Huntsville.  She was instrumental in helping her husband establish Patterson Construction Co. She was a member of Memorial Parkway Church of Christ. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos; brother, Herman Chisholm; and sister, Barbara Ann McRae. She was a devoted wife for 56 years and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

   Survivors include sons, Greg Patterson and Brad Patterson and wife MaryAnn; daughters, Anna Parvin and husband Paul and Barbie Peek and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Bryan Patterson and wife Anna, Lindsay Watts and husband Joel, Laura Patterson, Annie Patterson and Griffin Peek; and great-granddaughter, Caroline Watts.

   Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel with Jason Moon officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.

   Active pallbearers will be Bryan Patterson, Griffin Peek, Paul Parvin, Ricky Peek, Jerry Carriger and Steve Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Mickey Payer, Jerry Dugan, Ricky Schrimsher, Brant Carriger and Dr. Joel Watts.
