Vera Vaux The Chronicle, Tuesday, December 13, 2011 8:00 am
Vera Vaux was born Feb. 7, 1936 to Howard Francis Burt and Irene Florence Chase Burt. She married Marvin Vaux on April 2, 1955. She lived in Washington most of her life, except for 7 years in Iowa from 1955-1962. Her hobbies included camping, fishing, crocheting, and working in her flowers. She belonged to the Tag-along trailer club and volunteered at Centralia Hospital in the gift shop for many years. Vera passed away Dec. 8, 2011. She is survived by her daughters, Ava Jo Dayton of Pentress, W. Va. and Kathy Nickols of Chehalis, Wash., grandchildren, Jason Robinson, Chad Nickols Sr., Michael Robinson, and John Dayton, great-grandchildren, JoAnna Robinson, Chad Nickols, Jr., Jasmine Nickols, Leroy Nickols, Aleaha Tauscher, and Ayden Robinson, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Marvin on Nov. 4, 2000, by her infant son, Jeffery Howard Vaux, her brother, Harold Burt, and sister, Peggy Miller. Vera was an incredible woman, wife, mom, and grandmother. She fought many cancers until this last one. She was a strong lady and fought until she no longer could. Now she is with her beloved husband and may they both rest in peace together. They will live in our hearts forever. Visitation will be at Brown Mortuary Service on Wednesday, Dec. 14 and Thursday, Dec. 15 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Brown Mortuary on Friday, Dec. 16 at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at 1319 Bishop Rd., Chehalis. http://www.chronline.com/obituaries/vera-vaux/article_ec3cc1c6-250a-11e1-bc7a-0019bb2963f4.html |
