Larry Whitehead

Whitehead, Larry, 62, of Winchester, KY, passed away Oct. 28, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center.  Born Sept. 7, 1949 in Carthage, Missouri, he was the son of the late Fred and late Erma Burkett Whitehead.  Larry was a retired manager who worked for over 30 years at Leggett-Platt Inc.  He was the owner of Wyandotte Station Pay Lake, and a member of Clintonville Christian Church.  He is survived by Melinda Whitehead of Winchester, who was his spouse for 15 years; his brother Fred Whitehead; two sisters, Patricia Guinn and Linda Heman, all of La Russell, MO; his daughter Amy Kiefert of Leesburg, VA; two step-daughters, Amelia and Caitlin Armstrong both of Lexington, KY; and three grandsons, Julien Kiefert, William Kiefert, and John Cullen Roberts.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Clintonville Christian Church, 141 Austerlitz Rd., Paris, KY 40361, or Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Rd., Lexington, KY 40504.  Kerr Bros. – Harrodsburg Rd. is in charge of arrangements.
