Charles "Chuck" Clevenger
(June 19, 1941 - March 27, 2012)

Charles “Chuck” Clevenger, 70, of Middleburg, FL, passed away March 27, 2012.  He was born on June 19, 1941 in Barnsley, KY to parents Herman and Mae Clevenger.  Mr. Clevenger was a Vietnam War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, having retired from the United States Marine Corps.  He had worked as a supervisor for Lakes Construction and moved to the Clay County area from Switzerland, FL in 1998.  He was a member of the American Legion, Loyal Order of the Moose and the VFW.  He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed golfing and fishing.  Mr. Clevenger was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Patricia Clevenger; sons, Kenneth Clevenger, David Davidson (Patricia), Donald Davidson (Melissa) and Daniel Davidson (Kathy); daughters, Tabatha Parker (PJ), Nita McLendon (Sam) and Donna Householder; siblings, Howard, Helen and Wilma Clevenger and Gladys Cunningham, all of Kentucky; 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.  The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 2, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel.  Interment with military honors will be held at 12:30 pm at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Charles Clevenger

MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — Charles “Chuck” Clevenger, 70, of Middleburg, Fla., died Tuesday in Middleburg.

He was a Vietnam war veteran, a Purple Heart recipient, and retired from the U.S. Marine Corps.  He had worked as a supervisor for Lakes Construction.

He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Clevenger; four sons, Kenneth Clevenger, David Davidson, Donald Davidson and Daniel Davidson; three daughters, Tabatha Parker, Nita McLendon and Donna Householder; one brother, Howard Clevenger of Barnsley; and three sisters, Helen Clevenger of Athens, Ala., Wilma Clevenger of Paducah, Ky., and Gladys Cunningham of Madisonville; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mae Clevenger.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Broadus-Raines Chapel Funeral Home.

Burial with military honors will be 12:30 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
