Kirk Lane of Modesto, Ca., precious husband of Cleda Lane and father to Ken, Barbara, Kevin, Stefanie, Audrey and Kirk-Patrick, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on August 20, 2012.

Kirk retired from Riverbank Ammunition Plant, where he was a Tool and Die Maker after serving his Nation in the US Army for 20 years, which included 2 tours in Viet Nam and achieving the rank of CWO2.  Kirk was a III Percent Patriot and a firearms enthusiast as well as an avid fisherman, staying active up until his last years.

He was a longtime member of Big Valley Grace and dearly loved the Lord and to teach his Word.  He loved to read, and spend time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, dogs and Kat.

Survived and deeply missed by his wife Cleda of Modesto, sons, Kenneth (Lisa) of Modesto and Kevin (Rachel) of Riverbank. and the grandchildren he raised as his own, Stefanie and Audrey of Modesto and Kirk-Patrick of Ft. Sam Houston, Tx.  He is also survived by brother Edward of Waterford, grandchildren Bethanie, Elyse Arielle Lane and Eddie Stewart of Modesto and Rebecca Stewart of Stockton, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends from all over the world.

He was greeted at his Reward by his parents, parents-in-law, daughter Barbara, sister-in-law Linda Lane, nephew Brian Lane, as well as the friends that he served with.

Visitation will be held Aug. 31 from 4-8 p.m. with Chapel Services held Sept. 1 at Salas Brothers in Modesto with a graveside service with Military Honors immediately following at Lakewood Cemetery in Hughson, Ca.
