Bobby Steve McKelvey

Bobby Steve McKelvey was born on May 26, 1955 and went home to the Lord on Sunday, July 22, 2012, after a tragic accident in Galveston.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years that he loved so dearly, Renee McKelvey, his sons Shaun and Steven, his parents Verna and Fred McKelvey, his brother Ron, sister-in-law Debbie McKelvey, brother-in-law David Brown, nephews Justin and Jonathon McKelvey, David Brown Jr., niece Lisa Brown and great-nephew Conner Brown.  Along with his immediate family, Bobby leaves behind his best friend Damian Noble and many other family, friends and associates.

Bobby was raised in the Houston area but made Sugar Land his home, where he and his wife, Renee own All About Carpet.  He always remembered every homeowner whose floors he laid, and every family whose carpet he installed.  He made an impact on the community by the lives he touched.  He was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted man who loved and dedicated his life to his family.  Bobby loved sports, fast cars and motorcycles which created many fond memories.  Bobby was a loving husband, father, son, brother and unforgettable friend.  On behalf of your family and friends, God bless you, Bobby.  We will miss you.

Pallbearers will be Shaun McKelvey, Steven McKelvey, Ron McKelvey, Justin McKelvey, Jonathon McKelvey, and Damian Noble.

Friends and family are invited to join for a memorial service at the Simonton Community Church, 9703 FM 1489, in Simonton, Texas 77476 on Saturday, August 25th, 2012 at 11 am.  Immediately following the service, refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the church reception hall. There will be visitation with the family at 10:30 prior to the service.
