Mildred Temple The Gadsden Times, August 28, 2012
Mildred Temple Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012, in the Collier-Butler Chapel for Mildred Temple, 93, Southside. The Revs. Bill Drummon, Lauil Thompson, Bill Harbinson and Scott Harris will officiate. Burial will be at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing. Mildred Temple, devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with our Lord Aug. 27, 2012. She was a wonderful and delightful woman who put prayer and Christ above all else. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Temple; parents, Arie and A.M. Pearman; brother, A.M. Pearman Jr.; and sisters-in-law, India Temple and Virginia "Bootsie" Pearman. Mildred Temple was an educator in the Gadsden area for many years. She taught at Cory and Donehoo Elementary Schools. She was also a longtime Sunday School teacher at Louis Street Baptist Church and East Gadsden Baptist Church. She loved singing in the choir and was always singing or whistling while she did her homework. She tried to make a difference in her students' lives. She cared deeply for them. She is survived by her sons, Steve Temple, Floyd Temple and Tim (Penni) Temple; grandsons, Stephen and Zachary Temple; and granddaughter, Brittani Temple; special friends, Tina Ager and Darlene Temple. The family would also like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Oguntuyo and CCU Unit third floor at Riverview Hospital. Thank you for all the prayers from family and friends.
