Carolyn Woodard, a resident of Blanchard, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, after a battle with cancer.  She was 69 years old.  Carolyn was born on January 17, 1943 in Oklahoma City to her parents, John & Dixie Moore.  She attended Capitol Hill High School.  On August 9, 1963, she married Roy L. Woodard and together shared nearly 50 years of marriage.  Carolyn dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family, raising her children, and helped her husband, Roy build homes in South Oklahoma City area.  In her spare time, Carolyn enjoyed golfing. She and her husband, Roy were member of the Brent Bruehl Memorial Golf Course in Purcell.  Carolyn was a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her:

Mother, Dixie Lea (Cox) Moore;

Father, John Donald Moore.

Carolyn leaves cherished memories with her: Husband of nearly 50 years, Roy Lendon Woodard; Daughter, Stevi Craig and husband, Jay of Norman; Son, Marc Woodard and wife, Brenda of Oklahoma City; Daughter, Angie Spears and husband, Benjamin of Blanchard;Two Brothers: John D. Moore, Jr. and Derek Moore; Three Sisters: Tonieta Benson, Pamela Jones, and Rita Turner; Six grandchildren: Bo Woodard, Blake Woodard, Joey Craig, Chloe Summers, Cade Summers, and Annie Cate Summers; A host of other loving family and friends.

CAROLYN WOODARD

January 17, 1943 - October 31, 2012 BLANCHARD Carolyn Woodard, 69, of Blanchard went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2012 after a battle with cancer.  She was born on January 17, 1943, in Oklahoma City.  She attended Capitol Hill High School.  She married Roy L. Woodard on August 9, 1963.  Carolyn was a homemaker and helped Roy build homes in South Oklahoma City.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother.  Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Dixie Lea Moore, and father, John D. Moore.  She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Roy Woodard; children, Stevi Craig and husband Jay of Norman, Marc Woodard and wife Brenda of Oklahoma City, and Angie Spears and husband Ben of Blanchard.  She is also survived by six grandchildren.  Viewing will be 12-8 PM Sunday at Vondel Smith Mortuary, South Lakes.  Graveside services are 10 AM Monday, Nov. 5, 2012 at Resthaven Memory Gardens.  Friends may leave condolences at
