George Alexander Albright, 90, of Pulaski, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013.  The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

George Alexander Albright
September 14, 1922 - May 24, 2013

 

Old soldiers never die, they just fade away. George Alexander Albright, 90, of Pulaski, faded away on Friday, May 24, 2013.  He was a U. S. Army Master Sergeant, retired with 31 years of service.  He served during World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Era and the Persian Gulf War.  He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Korean War Veterans Assoc., and the Combat Infantrymen’s Assoc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, John.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; children George, Valerie, Linda and Carl; stepchildren, Annette, Vanessa, Sherry and Shelba; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 foster grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild: numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Hialeah; and brother, Bill.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.  Full military burial rites will immediately follow at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin.  The Albright family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
