Carolyn J. McClung LAFAYETTE - A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Martin & Castille's SOUTHSIDE Lafayette location for, Carolyn J. McClung, 82, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at her home in Lafayette, surrounded by family and friends. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter, Mindy Reed of Broussard; one son, William Roy McClung and his wife Mary of LaPlace; eight grandchildren, Katie Reed Conner and her husband Mike, Jeremy Reed and his wife Katie, Teague Ross, Bailey Ross, Stanley McClung, David McClung and his wife Anna, Michael McClung and Beckie McClung; and three great granddaughters, Mia Ross, Maggie Melissa Conner and Hannah McClung. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. McClung; one daughter, Melissa Dee McClung; parents, Lester and Etta Stewart; two sisters, Josephine Wilcox and Mary Kay Watson; and one brother, Lester S. Stewart, Jr. A native of Nixa, MO and a resident of Lafayette for 41 years, Carolyn McClung was an avid bridge player and loved to arrange flowers, read and keep a beautiful home. She loved spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. McClung's name to St. Labre Indian School, 1000 Tongue River Rd., Ashland, MT 59003.
