Wesley "Wes" W. Weathers
(August 22, 1934 - February 26, 2013)

 

WESLEY “Wes” W. WEATHERS, 78, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 26, 2013 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  

Born on August 22, 1934 in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Everett and June (Goodwin) Weathers. He was raised and received his education in Winfield.

Wesley began working in the construction business at an early age and worked for Mert Logsdon. He lived in Texas, Arizona, Nevada and California while in the construction business.

He was united in marriage to Babs Hogarth on November 21, 1970 in Los Angeles, California. The couple made their home in Winfield. Wesley enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard and traveling to Las Vegas.

His family includes: His wife: Babs of the home; His step-sons: Chuck Hogarth and wife Cindy and Kenny Hogarth and wife Lisa all of Wichita, KS; His daughters: Debi Coon of Winfield, KS; Tammy Askins and husband Todd of Winfield, KS; and CW3 Susan Weathers of Afghanistan; His sisters: Sherry Miller of Winfield, KS; Carolyn Nichols of Missouri; Lucretia Nobley of Florida; and Loretta King of Wichita, KS; and Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Weathers; his step-daughter, Cheryl Hogarth and his brothers, Charlie and Dwayne Weathers.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.

A memorial has been established in Wesley’s name for the Wounded Warrior's Program.
