Beverly Louise Carroll, 64, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014. Memorial services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel with the Rev. Chester Beavers officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Beverly was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Amarillo to Ira and Mary Louise Gillenwater Young. She graduated from Amarillo High School with the Class of 1968. She worked for Bell Helicopter/Textron and for Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She loved Germany and her dogs. She was a good friend and loved helping others. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Young; and a daughter, Teresa Slawson. Survivors include two sons, Paul Sawyer and wife Reina of San Diego and Mark Sawyer of Huntsville; a brother, Glenn Young and wife Wanda of Amarillo; two sisters, Daphne Fox of Amarillo and Ethel Kotara and husband Larry of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
