LeAnne Shaw, 61 passed away on June 3, 2014 after a courageous three year battle with cancer.  She was surrounded by her family and enveloped in love.

LeAnne was born on December 19, 1952 in Bedford, Indiana to the late Wayne and Betty Jones.  LeAnne married Rick Shaw on June 29, 1974.  After receiving her bachelors and masters degree from Indiana University, she was employed as an elementary school teacher for 33 years; 26 of those years were at Tri-Central Elementary in Sharpsville, Indiana.  LeAnne’s passion was teaching and she loved her students in her classroom.  She cherished the relationships she built with both students and colleagues.  LeAnne was incredibly talented, and she touched a number of lives on a daily basis.  She could truly be considered a life changer.  In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, music, concerts, reading, sports, and spending time with family and friends.  She affectionately had become known as Momma Shaw to so many that she has impacted.

LeAnne was preceded in death by her Father Wayne Jones, Mother Betty McPike Jones, and Husband Rick Shaw.

LeAnne’s survivors include her son Joshua Shaw (Indianapolis), Sister JoEllen (Jeff) Welton (Mitchell), Nieces Lindsey Welton (Atlanta) and Rachel Welton (Chicago), Sister in law Sharon (Jim) Krebs (Pendelton), Brother in law Randy Shaw (Anderson), Sister in law Desi (Ed) LeCounte (Sharpsville). In addition, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and special family Trey, Tyrrelle, Lindsey, and Phil.
