Rhonda L. Tipton, 52, of Kirksville passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at her home.

Private family services will be at a later date.

She was born Sept. 13, 1961, in Riverside, Calif., the daughter of Dale and Bertha (Burkett) Tipton.

In addition to her parents, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, Patrick Schaefer of Columbia and Josh Schaefer of Jefferson City; five sisters, Deborah Lancaster and her husband, Dallas, of Huntsdale, Robin Tipton of Higbee, Cindy Haney of Jamestown, Chris Taylor and her husband, Chuck, of Parker, Colo., and Shawna Murray and her husband, Phillip, of Columbia; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many dear friends.

Her sister Dalene Tipton preceded her in death.

Rhonda worked as a cashier for several convenience stores. Later, she worked in Moberly for several nursing homes.  She loved being outdoors and enjoyed animals and spending time with her family.

Rhonda “Pee Wee” Lyn Tipton, 52, died Saturday, March 29, 2014.

There will be a Celebration of Life in her honor from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at the Lions Club in Higbee.

She was born Sept. 13, 1961.

She is survived by her two sons, Josh and Patrick; parents, Dale and Bert Tipton; and five sisters, Debby, Robin, Cindy, Chris and Shawn.

She was preceded in death by her sister Dalene.

The family is requesting no flowers.
