Paul Troy Akins Adams & Jennings Funeral Home
Obituary for Paul Akins
74, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great
grandfather went to be with our Lord and Savior. He was a lifelong
resident of Tampa, graduate of Chamberlain High School, electrical
contractor and owner of Akins Electric Company. Paul was also a
lifetime member of the NRA and an avid hunter. He was preceded in
death by his parents, William H. and Mary Margaret Akins and is survived
by his beautiful, brown-eyed bride, Janet Matches-Akins; brothers, Jackie
and William H. Akins Jr.; sister, Margaret Fuller; children, Paul T. and
Sheree Akins, Beverly Lynn and Nick Lucas, and John B. and Amanda Akins;
grandchildren, Stephanie, Lindsey, Kyndal, Paul Troy III, Christopher,
Cory and Joshua; six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015 in the
Adams & Jennings Chapel with burial to follow in Garden of Memories
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until service
time. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to
