John Clark
Aug. 7, 1934 – April 2, 2015

A funeral service will be held for John Losee Clark, 80, of North Bend at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3355 Virginia Ave., North Bend.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Coos Bay.

John was born Aug. 7, 1934, in Batesville, Ark., the son of Alfred and Prudence Clark.  He passed away at home after a protracted illness, April 2, 2015.  John’s childhood was spent in Calico Rock, Ark.  At age 13 the family moved to Eureka, Calif.

He earned a master’s degree in music at Humboldt State University in Arcata, Calif.  While there, he met his future wife, Sharon Wolfs.  Their marriage lasted 47 years.

John was a longtime resident of North Bend.  He taught band, orchestra, and classroom music in the Coos Bay School District for 18 years.  He was a skilled photographer and did portrait and wedding photography as well as camera repair.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Wolfs of North Bend; three sons, John A. Clark of Wesley Chapel N.C., William L. Clark of San Jose, Calif., and David A. Clark of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Kirsten Clark, Karena Foust, Kendra Clark, Olivia Clark, Sophia Clark, Elizabeth Clark, Taylor Clark, Anthony Clark, Tina Clark and Briar Clark; one great-grandchild; and brother, Richard G. Clark of Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
