Joan Wynne Perryman, age 62, of Las Vegas, Nevada, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 17, 2015, while vacationing in Bonaire.  The daughter of Robert and Betty Featheringill Perryman, she was born on November 15, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa.  Joan grew up in Wapello and attended Wapello Community Schools.  She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology when she was 36.

Joan became a real estate broker with Remax in Las Vegas.   She loved her work and enjoyed her family and friends whether in Las Vegas, Bonaire, or Wapello.

She is survived by a daughter, Dixie & Will Cain of Muscatine; a son, Jesse Axel of Las Vegas; four grandchildren, Matt Garvin, Colten Lessenger, Remi Lessenger, and Tabitha Axel; and a sister, Jane Perryman of Chicago.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Laurie Perryman.

She has been cremated.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello.  Pastor Dan Doolin will officiate.  A private burial will follow at the Parsons Cemetery alongside her parents and sister.  A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will begin around 5:00 PM at the Briggs Community Center in Wapello.
