Donald William Sparks
Obituary

Don began his adventure in this world March 24, 1960, in Concord, California.  Almost immediately his parents, Carl and Wynoma Sparks, knew they would have their hands full with their fourth child and third son.  From his very beginnings, Don's adventurous spirit and generous nature were evident and they never faded during the 55 years he shared with us.

Don came to Pueblo as a baby, and made it his life-long home.  It was his base of operations for the mischief, adventures and generous acts that made up his life.  Whether it was a motorcycle road trip across the country with his brother, traveling with the carnival, raising a family, or simply living daily life, Don was all in, and made sure he enjoyed every minute.

Don was a good brother, a solid friend, and had a heart bigger than he could sometimes handle.  He was always ready to help a friend or take in a stray dog.  His proudest achievement was quitting cigarettes and all his other vices cold turkey in a demonstration of strength and determination none of us knew he had.

Don used his strength again to battle cancer valiantly for two years.  The blessing that came from Don's fight was the renewal of closeness in the Sparks family.

Don passed from this life on October 21, 2015, at Hospice House in Pueblo, Colorado.  He was 55 years old when he moved on to his next adventure.  We will always fondly remember Don, his wry wit, mischievous smile, and deeply loving spirit.  His is missed.

A memorial service held Sunday, November 1st, 1pm at Imperial Funeral Home Chapel.
