Obituary for Terry Tupin

Terry Glyn Tupin, 57, of Comanche, passed away Friday September 25, 2015.  Heartland Funeral Home Comanche is handling the arrangements for the family who will hold a memorial service at a later date.

Terry was born October 11, 1957, in Roswell, New Mexico, to T.J. and Elizabeth Ann (Swinney) Tupin.  He came to Comanche at the age of 6 months and spent his complete life here.  He attended school in Comanche and began working various jobs after his school days were completed.  Terry worked many years for Higginbotham’s in the lumberyard.  He loved working with wood and later spent most of his work time as a carpenter.  He built coffins for several people that needed his help.  Terry also had a love of horses, had a special touch working with them, and had a knack for breaking horses.  Hunting and fishing were great loves of Terry, as well as animals, specially his dog Sandy .

Terry is survived by brother and sister, Gary Tupin of Goldthwaite and Linda Runnels of Dublin; numerous nieces and nephews; “brothers in heart and spirit”, Monty Cox, Camon Martin, David Spivey, David Steel, and Brent Hanks; and Calvin and Marjorie Cox, whom Terry loved like his “parents”.  Terry was preceded in death by his father and mother, T.J. and Elizabeth Tupin.
