Beulah "Babs" Weathers of Winfield, Kansas

Beulah “Babs” Weathers, 77, of Winfield, Ks passed away peacefully in her home August 24th, 2015.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, August 28th at the Shelley Family Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Winfield, Kansas.  A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Humane Society.  Contributions can be left with the funeral home.

Beulah Weathers was born April 30th, 1938 to loving parents: George Conrad Bowling and Beulah Mae (Burkett) Bowling in the town of Leavenworth, Ks.  Beulah grew up to love the great country in which she lived.  She was joined in marriage with Wesley Weathers November 21st, 1970.  As a caring, patriotic woman she enjoyed working at the state hospital, spending time reading and looking after her cats.  One of her favorite hobbies was traveling to Las Vegas, Nevada to gamble and try her hand at the slot machines.  Most of all, she loved her family.

Survivors include her son Chuck Hogarth and wife Cindy, son Kenny Hogarth and his wife Lisa and their son Marcus, daughter Susan Weathers, and step-daughters Debi Piatt and Tammy Askins.  As well as 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Beulah is preceded in death by her husband, both of her parents, daughter Cheryl Hogarth, and step-son Gary Weathers.
