Jonnalee M. Whitehead, 46, of Carthage, MO, departed this life on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital, Carthage, MO, after being stricken by sudden illness.

Jonnalee entered this life on September 27, 1968 in Carthage, MO, to the union of Fred and Terri (Stump) Whitehead.  She was a 1986 graduate of Carthage Senior High School and later became a licensed Cosmetologist.  Jonnalee was a lifelong Carthage area resident.  A lifelong fan of all of Charles’ athletic activities, she coached many of his youth soccer teams and was a self-proclaimed Carthage Cross Country and Track “superfan.”  She enjoyed volunteering in the St. Ann’s library, and was an avid reader.  At home, she occupied her time with her two favorite shows, Law and Order and Wheel of Fortune, and playing with Beauty, her beloved cat.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carthage, MO.  Jonnalee loved spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Charles Whitehead of St. Louis, MO, her parents; Fred and Terri Whitehead of Sarcoxie, MO, one sister, Tonja Whitehead of Philadelphia, PA, and one niece, Caitlyn Deviney also of Philadelphia, PA., step grandma; Mildred Stump of Lockwood, Mo, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Ms. Whitehead are 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2015 at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, with P.J. Jeffers officiating.  The burial will follow in Harvey Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those honoring her life as pallbearers are Matthew Roy, Zebediah Reed, Rex Probert, Gary McLemore, Kevin Guinn, and James Malcolm.  The family has directed memorial contributions to the American Heart Association and may be left with the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.housh-goodwinfuneralhome.com.  Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home, Sarcoxie, MO.
