Kay Miller Fleming 77, Athens passed away Wednesday morning at home with his family around him.  Kay was born January 25, 1939 in Commerce to Kermit and Betty Fleming.  He was a good Christian man and lived a wonderful life.  He was a graduate of Texas A&M class of 1973.  Kay was a wildlife biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.  He retired after 30 years of service at the job that he loved.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharon Fleming of Athens, daughter, Shauna Farmer of Mabank, 6 grandchildren, Kelsie Fleming and Kye Fleming of Bucyrus, Ohio, Erika Johnson and husband Taylor, Enid, Oklahoma, Victoria Abrantes, Kristopher Fleming and Colby Kelley, Mabank, and three great-grandsons, Cris, Cam, and Jackson, from Bucyrus, Ohio, brother, Randy Fleming of Athens, Alabama.  His son, Ken Fleming Fleming preceded him in death on April 21, 2007.

Graveside services will be held at a later date.
