U.S. Veteran Billy Wayne McMahon, 71, passed away in Lakewood, Colorado, on January 26, 2016.

He was born in Casa Grande, Arizona to Gordon and Mary Jane “Gurdy” (Dore) in December of 1944.  The third of four children, he graduated from Arvin High School near Bakersfield, California.  After high school, Billy joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1967.  Billy worked for the U.S. Postal Service and most recently as a property manager in Brighton, CO

Billy married Loni (Butler) in Bakersfield, CA on July 20, 1976 and lived in Oklahoma for 12 years before settling in Brighton, Colorado.

In his spare time, Billy enjoyed Texas Hold'em and the Oakland Raiders.

Billy is survived by his wife; Loni, Children; Brad (Page) McMahon, Theresa Randall and James (Dawn) Tilt as well as his mother and sisters Patricia and Betty.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, brother Wilburn and daughter; Shannon.

Graveside services are scheduled for Thursday, February 4 at 11:00, staging area “A”, Fort Logan National Cemetery.  A reception will be held at the Eastgate Village Clubhouse, 3060 East Bridge Street, Brighton, CO beginning at 1:30 pm.
