Connie Morris, 68, of Oxford passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her home in Oxford, Kansas.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Oxford United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Friday, October 7, 2016 at Oxford Funeral Service Chapel from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.  Memorials have been established with the Geuda Community Building and the Winfield American Legion Post #10 and may be left with Oxford Funeral Service.  Burial will be at the Geuda Springs Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Oxford Funeral Service.

Connie Jo Morris was born October 14, 1947, the daughter of Donald and Dorothea (Nixon) Thompson in Wellington, Kansas.  She graduated from Oxford High School in 1965.  On July 31, 1965 Connie was united in marriage to Ronald Morris.  Connie had many roles; from being a farmwife to cooking at the local school, driving a school bus, delivering fuel, working at the turnpike and Emerald Bank.  She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, Ronald “Butch” Morris of the home; children: Shawn Morris and his wife Tammy, Shayne Morris, and Robin Goodno and her husband Troy; 7 grandchildren: Cody Morris, Josie Morris, Sarena Seal, Kyle Morris, Summer Potter, Rici Jo Potter and Zach Potter; and 8 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Donnie Thompson; and a nephew, James Thompson.
