MOOREVILLE - Rufus Lee Adams, Jr., 69, died Friday, February 24, 2017, at Sanctuary Hospice House.  He was born July 13, 1947, in Indiana to Rufus Lee Adams, Sr., and Annie Ozell Cunningham Adams.  He was a construction worker and a U.S. Army veteran.  He previously worked as a supervisor for Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Thompson Adams of Mooreville; three daughters, Haley Nicole Adams and Katie Onita Adams, both of Mooreville, and Christy Mize of McMinnville, TN; one son, Micheal Adams of Charlotte, NC; one brother, Jimmie Adams of Houlka; one sister, Elaine Vernon of Boise, ID; grandchildren, Austin Mize and Addye Mize; and sixteen nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Micheal Adams, Yvonne Adams Tipps, Sherry Adams Immordino, and Teresia Dudziak.

McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton assisted the family with cremation arrangements.
