DIES FOLLOWING HANGING ATTEMPT

Throat Injury and Pneumonia Prove Fatal to Mrs. Carl Bundesman

IN POOR HEALTH FOR SOME TIME

Mrs. Goldie M. Bundesman, 51, died at 8:30 o'clock this morning at her home, 411 S. Ault street.  Mrs. Bundesman had been in failing health for the past two years, and her death resulted from an attempt to hang herself at  her home Wednesday afternoon.

Dr. E. W. Shrader, coroner, who was summoned to investigate the death, said she died of "Oedema of the throat and double pneumonia," which developed following the attempt to take her own life, which occurred about 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.  She tied a rope over a transom window in the home and around her neck, but was found by her 16-year-old daughter, Kathleen, who summoned a physician and neighbors.  No inquest will be held, Dr. Shrade said.

Mrs. Bundesman is survived by her husband, Carl Bundesman; three sons, Everett Bundesman, James Bundesman and Carl Bundesman, Jr., all of Moberly; five daughters, Mrs. Lillian Thompson, Mrs. Alliene Yeakey and Miss Kathleen Bundesman, all of Moberly, Mrs. Dorothy Weiss, Michigan City, Ind., and Miss Mary Bundesman, Marshall; and two brothers.

Mrs. Bundesman was born in Kuttawa, Ky., and had lived in Moberly since 1912.

The body has been taken to the Mahan Funeral Parlor, and funeral will be held in the chapel there at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. J. Clark Hensley, pastor of the Carpenter Street Baptist church.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
