DEATH CLAIMS MRS. SARAH STORHOFF OF SHREWDER

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Dryden for Mrs. Sarah Storhoff, mother of Mrs. Henry Reed, of Shrewder, with whom she made her home.  She had been suffering with a lingering illness for several months.

Sarah Elizabeth Burkett was born in Tennessee on July 1, 1857.  She later moved with her parents to San Saba County, Texas, and was married to Archie Murray in 1876.

To this union were born four children, W. J. Murray, Ft. Worth, Texas; A. L. Murray of Hollis and Mrs. M. A. Riffe, Portales, New Mexico.

Mr. Murray passed away in 1886.

In 1895 she was married to Ole E. Storhoff.  To this union were born three daughters, one who died in infancy. Mrs. W. H. Reed, Gould, and Mrs. J. J. Horton, Hollis.

Mr. Storhoff preceded her in death eighteen years ago.

She has twenty-four grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She became a member of the Church of Christ at an early age and remained faithful until death.

Elder Robers of Hollis conducted the funeral services and burial was made in the Dryden cemetery.
